Batida is the generic name for drinks that blend various ingredients, mainly fruits, with sweetened condensed milk and pinga, a strong Brazilian liquor distilled from sugarcane. Coconut Batida is a famous drink in Brazil. It can be made in advance and keeps well in the fridge. It may be served as a drink before meals or as an after-dinner liqueur.
A bottle of batida makes a great gift for friends at a dinner party.
Ingredients
• 200 ml coconut milk
• 300 ml sweetened condensed milk
• 300 ml pinga or vodka
Preparation method
Blend all ingredients, pour into a bottle and refrigerate. Shake the bottle before serving.
This drink may be served either with crushed ice as a drink before meals or on its own in small liqueur glasses after dinner.
