Batida is the generic name for drinks that blend various ingredients, mainly fruits, with sweetened condensed milk and pinga, a strong Brazilian liquor distilled from sugarcane.
Peanut Batida is a famous drink in Brazil. It can be made in advance and keeps well in the fridge. It is served either before meals or as an after-dinner liqueur.
A bottle of batida makes a great gift for friends at a dinner party.
Ingredients
• 100 g peanut butter
• 300 ml pinga or vodka
• 300 ml sweetened condensed milk
Preparation method
Blend all ingredients, pour into a bottle and refrigerate. Shake the bottle well, then serve.
It may be served either with crushed ice before meals or in small liqueur glasses after dinner.
